Chuck Shackelford
OWNER
Shackelford Custom Homes is a father-son collaboration. Chuck started the business in 2005 after working in the St. Louis commercial and residential industry for over 35 years.
Chuck began his career as a custom furniture and cabinetry carpenter in the 1980's. He then went on to work for Waterhout Commercial Construction where he worked on high profile projects such as the first and second remodel of the Admiral. After moving to Pantheon construction, he completed finish work in the Fox Theater and built custom storefronts, railings, arches and cabinetry in the Lambert Building on 9th and Olive. Later he worked as both a finish carpenter and manager for McBride Contacting, in the general contracting division for large home developers.
C.J. began working with his father when he was 12 years old. While working at Shackelford Custom Homes during his college career, he was inspired to join the family business after graduating with his business degree.
